Brief Description of Research Interest :

Lathika Mohanraj obtained her Ph.D in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia USA. Her doctoral work was primarily on human Mouse Double Minute-2 (MDM-2) and the NF-κB2 pathway in human lung cancer. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Pathology at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her current research focus is to study the role of Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein-3 (IGFBP-3) in cardiovascular diseases and metabolic syndrome as a whole gearing towards a potential therapeutic role of IGFBP-3 in various aspects of metabolic syndrome. She also serves as the President of the VCU Post-Doctoral Association.

Dr. Mohanraj has published 6 peer-reviewed research works and presented at many institutional, national and international conferences.
