Brief Description of Research Interest :

Tocontribute for the growth and development in the field of pharmaceutical andclinical pharmacology research wherein my analytical and educational skillscould be utilized to the maximum.

Currentpost-doc research focus is on design, plan and conduct of observational,interventional, retrospective and prospective clinical research studies in cardiovasculardiseases. Have experience in design, conduct, co-ordination ofmulti-centric randomized controlled clinical trials in the area of cancer (leukemia),HIV/AIDS (cryptococcal meningitis)and pharmacokinetic studies. Experienced in industry in area of BA/BEstudies, development of analytical methods using LC/MS-MS, HPLC etc.

 Experienced in teaching and research indevelopment and evaluation of liposomal (amphotericin B), transdermal drugdelivery systems, preclinical studies, radiolabelling studies for treatment offungal infections. Recently worked on studying the effect of oral delivery ofACE2 and Ang-1-7 on pulmonary hypertension, heart failure etc. Studied role of steroids on P-glycoprotein transport studies bothin-vitro and in-vivo, and immunoassay development for dengue virus infection.

Servedas an important team member in design, conduct, and implementation of the postgraduate diploma in pharmaceutical management and M.Sc.Pharmaceutical Medicinecourses at the University level.  Involvedin teaching and guiding postgraduate students (M.S., Ph.D.), acted as an investigatorin various interdisciplinary research projects in infectious diseases, drugdelivery systems and biomedical engineering. Excellent track record ofpublishing research work (over 20) in noted journals like Lancet InfectiousDiseases, Clin. Pharm. Drug Development, Indian Jr of Cancer etc., excellent editing (01 book), grant writing, management,communication, leadership and co-ordination skills.
