Brief Description of Research Interest :
|
My research has been focused in the development and application of computational methods for the study of phase characteristics and magnetic properties in novel materials. I use computational tools such as electronic structure calculations, molecular dynamics, monte carlo etc. to study material properties. Recently, my interests have been the effect of strong spin-orbit coupling, such as magnetic anisotropy, skyrmions, Rashba spin splitting etc., in new magnetic materials and complex oxides. I use density functional theory based first principles calculations and model Hamiltonians to study these systems.
