Brief Description of Research Interest :

Research Interest:
Oncology (Cancer), Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell growth, Migration, Invasion, Metastasis, Gene expression, Transcriptional regulation, Molecular Signaling, Drug Development.

The overarching aim of my research is to unravel the molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, aggressive behavior, as well as developing novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of cancer, with a particular emphasis on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), Neuroblastoma and Breast Cancer. My major interest is to unveil the receptors (ROR1, ALK, NLRR1,2,3) mediated pathways, AKT-mediated pathways, role of Rho family GTPases and remodulation of the actin cytoskeleton in cancer cell survival, migration and metastasis. Cancer treatment strategies are changing from general chemotherapeutic agents to drugs that target specific proteins and signaling pathways. I am also interested to develop targeted therapies that are more effective and less toxic for patients with cancer. So far, I have published 5 manuscripts in reputed peer review journals including Scientific Reports (Nature) and Cancer Medicine. I also have published 31 abstracts in different international conferences.
