NIBR is building a focused group topursue state-of-the-art research in the human microbiome. The goal is tounderstand the basic mechanisms and pathways affected by the microbiome andtheir relevance to human health and disease in selected areas. We aim to pursuethis research in collaboration with academic scientists who are leaders in themicrobiome research. We currently have multiple postdoctoral positions forinterested candidates. We will consider candidates with a freshly minted PhD,an MD or an MD/PhD and a strong publication record in their previous studies.These positions provide opportunity to pursue fundamental basic research and tomake significant scientific discoveries leading to high quality publications.The research will be performed at NIBR and will be mentored by both a NIBR andan academic mentor.
