Brief Description of Research Interest :
|
1. Understanding the confinement of polymers in thin films as a function of humidity, thickness and ion exchange capacity using fluorescence based approach along with other complementary surface characterization techniques (spectroscopic ellipsometry, quartz crystal microbalance, neutron reflectometry).
2. Surface and interfacial effect in water-polymer mobility and water-proton transport in thin ionomer films for fundamental understanding of polymer-catalyst interface in proton exchange membrane fuel cells.
3. Synthesis, characterization and application of conjugated light harvesting water soluble oligo/polymers in chemobiosensors.
4. Nanoscale self-assembly of conjugated oligo/polyelectrolytes.
5. Understanding of filtration mechanism and location of retention in virus filtration membrane using fluorescence based techniques.
