Brief Description of Research Interest :

In my graduate work, I studied the role of TRP channels in nociception and the involvement of TRPV1 channels in diabetic peripheral neuropathy through ROS-p38MAPK signaling pathway. I also investigated the expression and function of TRPA1 channels in pancreatic beta cells. Currently,I work on how olfaction can drive attraction in the high brain center of drosophila and what neural circuits and neuromodulators are involved in this behavior.
